All about the people behind Curious Strolls, Bath
Alison Levy
Alison has over 40 years experience working in Tourism in Britain and Europe and further afield. She speaks fluent Spanish and English and has a good knowledge of French, Italian, Portuguese, German and Japanese.
Her first travels started after studying Spanish and French at Leeds University when she became a Tour Manager in Europe with the leading English Tour Operator, Thomson Holidays. (Now Tui) mainly guiding in Austria, Germany, Italy and Spain where she also ran an English Language Academy in Navarra).
After moving back to England in 1985 Alison started working for the Bath Tourist Information Centre and set up her own Spanish language school for adults and children " Escuelita de Bath" in 1994 , teaching Spanish to children and adults.
There has always been a big Hispanic community in Bath . Alison set up and runs the Bath Spanish Circle ( Circulo Hispanico de Bath) which organises many cultural events and social gatherings for Spanish Nationals and Hispanic people and any-one who wants to practice Spanish language and customs. She also organises tours and exchange visits to Spanish Speaking Countries.
In 2000 she again began to work as a tour manager in Europe for Swan Tours a local Tour Operator based in Bath and later for Go With Glow based in Bristol as a tour manager in Europe , the UK and India, working with incentive group tours.
During all this time Alison carried on working at The Bath Visitor Information Centre and Bath Box Office at Visit Bath, a destination marketing organisation.
Having now celebrated her 35th year with Visit Bath she has the reputation of knowing everything there is to know about the history of Bath and the surrounding area.

Hello!
My name is Francisca Garcia. I was born in Bath and spent most of life, up to the age of twenty, going back and forth from Spain to Bath. I’ve worked in TV for the last 20 years and also for Bath Tourism. I speak 3 languages and have travelled the world, working as a guide on walking tours in Bath & Sydney Australia (historical walking tours and Ghost Tours in The Rocks, Sydney).
I have worked on drama and shows for television one of my favourites being Bridgerton! I have also appeared in His Dark Materials, Sherlock, Dr Who and Poldark!
Sam Saunders
Sam Saunders is an actor and aspiring voiceover artist with a diverse array of roles. He has worked as a costumed guide and finds great satisfaction in entertaining people and bringing characters to life.
Previously Georgian and Regency were a favourite period of visitors to Bath with the famous Jane Austen Festival bringing in International Visitors.
These days the Netflix Series Bridgerton which was filmed in Bath has many followers and we are hoping this will be a popular new tour for Bridgerton aficionados.
Bath has many facets of history to explore from Celts, Romans, Civil War Skirmishes to the engineering feats of Isambard Kingdom Brunel and sporting achievements like Bath Rugby and the World renowned Olympic Training Village at Bath University . Health and wellbeing at the Thermae Bath Spa and fascinating Museums and Art Galleries and film locations to explore . We aim to put together a fun break for discerning visitors with a touch of theatrics and drama.
